Welcome to my website, I am Ksenia, an artist based in the enchanting city of Vilnius, Lithuania.
My artwork intricately weaves together elements of folklore, pagan myths, and the rich visual language of fairytales. By drawing on motifs familiar from childhood, and the ancient symbolism of gods and mythic narratives, I strive to evoke a sense of universal familiarity through shared cultural touchstones.
Each piece I create is a meticulous endeavor, reflecting my meditative process and deep engagement with the subject matter. This practice not only serves as a personal journey towards understanding and resolution but also results in works that are profoundly detailed and expressive. My art represents an exploration of life and an earnest attempt to decipher the complexities of the world.
I extend an invitation to viewers to delve into this visual dialogue, fostering a connection that transcends verbal communication. Through my art, I aim to create a shared space where we can communicate and empathize, united by the universal language of imagery and symbol.
Collection: Strangecore Paintings Available Online In Independent Artist Store
Strangecore paintings emerge from a visual language shaped by disorientation, contrast, and quiet visual tension. In this collection, I explore compositions that feel unfamiliar yet intentional — spaces where elements do not fully align, and meaning remains slightly out of reach.
The strangecore aesthetic is defined by subtle disruption. Forms may appear fragmented, environments feel incomplete, and relationships between elements resist clear resolution. Instead of guiding the viewer toward a fixed interpretation, the compositions create a sense of suspended understanding.
These paintings operate through atmosphere rather than narrative. Objects, figures, and symbolic elements appear as isolated fragments that interact without fully merging into a coherent whole. The result is a visual field that feels unstable, yet carefully constructed.
There is a restrained intensity within these works. The imagery does not rely on overt drama but builds tension through imbalance, repetition, and unexpected visual shifts. What is shown is often less important than what remains implied.
As an independent artist, I approach strangecore painting through a process of layering and reduction. Each composition evolves by adjusting relationships between elements, allowing irregularities to remain visible as part of the structure.
These paintings do not resolve into clarity. They remain open, slightly dissonant, and intentionally ambiguous — inviting a way of seeing that embraces uncertainty and complexity.
